"Staredown Jimmy" was captured aboard the F/V Defiance on the Chesapeake Bay in October 2023 where this beautiful jumbo male crab was none too pleased to have the lens of a camera staring him down. This digital photograph captures a palette of deep greens, blues, and the warm wood colors of the bushel baskets that are iconic in the region and Chesapeake seafood industry.
