"Staring Down the Bowsprit" is an artistic series captured by Jacklyn Brower taking shots head on with the Chespeake Bay Skipjacks in a style inspired by photographer Jay Fleming who has a whole collection of boat bow photographs. Using that inspiration, Jacklyn Brower, captured the skipjack Nathan of Dorchester as it comes head on with the camera. One of the fun details that is clearly seen in this picture but is almost never noticed -- the "N" on the tip of the bowsprit.
