"Somerset Goes Alone" features the skipjack Somerset whose home is in Wenona, MD, was captured by fine art aerial photographer Steve Brower during the 2023 Deal Island Skipjack Races. This image features nine of the eleven participating Chesapeake Bay Skipjacks, eight of which are in the background visibly separated from the Somerset. This image highlights both the beauty of the Somerset as well as her willingness to be different even among the shrinking fleet of Chesapeake Bay Skipjacks.
